Have food ready - Moving is difficult work, but snacks can assist maintain energy and spirits high all the way through the day. Some coffee and donuts will probably be a welcome sight when you get began inside the morning. Keep a lot of water on hand, too, particularly if the weather is warm.

Hire a baby sitter - Should you have kids, do your self and them a favor and hire a baby sitter. Watching grown-ups move boxes to and from a truck all day isn't much enjoyable for a child, and trying to keep your children amused and out of the way of the workers will only make you far more exhausted.
